Hello, Hello, Hello to all our fellow travellers at Holiday Coast Tours and to our new friends at Port Bus. Well as of last week I can officially say that Holiday Coast Tours has been purchased by Trish & Dan McGrady at Port Bus and I couldn’t be happier! When Ian Anderson & I joined forces back in 2001 it was like a holiday match made in Heaven and with Trish and Dan it’s the same feeling. Sure, there will be a few subtle changes to procedures but the big picture is touring with all our treasured customers and that will not change. Anne-Marie is staying on with us in the merger until her official retirement at the end of June this year. Her enthusiastic character and addictive laugh will still be a part of the office so call in! Me – well I’ll still be hanging around for a while – Dan has offered me a ten-year contract. Yep, I’ll still be involved in creating tours and of course driving lots – so look out. Seriously just a big simple THANK YOU to all HCT’s supporters and travellers over the past 25 years. The journey has been amazing. Let’s keep it going with Trish & Dan for the next 25!!

Now, down to business – that doesn’t change. Have a look at the calendar and feel your touring taste buds tingling. We have everything from our ever-popular day tours, special events, shows a plenty, overnighters to major touring as in Bundaberg, Maryborough & 1770, Tassie in Spring, Toowoomba Flower Festival to our Christmas tour to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast – and that’s just 2023! 2024 upcoming majors – Late February/March our 2 leg tour to 1) the Eyre Peninsula and Murray Princess and 2) Kangaroo Island, Cape Jervis, the SA Shipwreck Coast and Great Ocean Road (with lots more inclusions on both tours). Fly in/fly out of Adelaide or stay on both for a truly memorable experience. Also in March – Lightning Ridge & Moree. But wait, there’s more – a 17 day special in October to the Land of the Long White Cloud, touring both South and North Islands of New Zealand with great inclusions. I’m frantically working on a tour to the UK in July/August 2025 with only 24 spots (restricted single supplement numbers). First in best dressed.

In late April/May we will be repeating our 3 leg tour, fly in/fly out of Central Oz, the Northern Territory, Western Australia, the Nullarbor, South Australia and home. Too many to list as in our last tour but don’t miss out – the list is open now.

So folks, there is so much to see and do as per our attached calendar. Grab a booklet or brochure off the bus or any outlet, office in Bellbowrie or Sancrox. Last, but not least, check your brochures for dates to pay deposits and finals for tours as this is a true indicator of numbers for us.

Wow – I thought I was supposed to be retiring. On a personal note, thanks from Anne-Marie and myself. Here’s to a great future with Trish, Dan and staff at Port Bus. Don’t forget you can still book at all your favourite outlets in Port, Wauchope, Laurieton, Taree, Wingham and Nambucca Heads. Or talk to my bank manager – he loves the colour of your money too!!
