Travel Club Newsletter
A big hello from us all at Holiday Coast Tours and associated travel outlets.
We're definitely back! We had a fantastic tour to Kangaroo Island and Renmark Roses last month and it was so nice to be behind the steering wheel again. We even managed to escape Victoria – but South Australia welcomed us with open arms. Everywhere we visited we were met with "wow the first coach group since February".
So – we are off & driving. Our next tour is to Bathurst Cherries & Berries. We are full and have a wait list and the same applies to our Christmas in the Snowy Mountains.
We have a lovely little tour from the 1st to 4th December in conjunction with U3A to Port Stephens staying 2 nights at the Marina Resort with local touring. A highlight being Stockton Beach 4WD tour to Tin Can Village. We then head to the Hunter visiting Scratchley House and the "Walka" Water works at Maitland before driving via the mural town of Kurri Kurri to the Hunter Valley Gardens. A little touch of paradise. We can explore the gardens late afternoon before booking into Harrigan’s and having happy hour and dinner. At dusk our coach transfers us back to the gardens for a fantastic display of Christmas lights and all the themes imaginable – over 1.5 million of them. At a given time by your coach captain, we return to Harrigan's – maybe a nightcap before bed. The next day we return to Williamtown to visit the RAAF museum at Fighter World with lunch at Karuah Bowling Club on the way home. Spots are available but you need to contact us a.s.a.p.
2021 – Unfortunately the Wallabadah Picnic Races and the Tasmania & the Wooden Boat Festival (now re-scheduled to 2023 as it is bi-annual) have been cancelled because of the pandemic. Our day tours are starting in February and we have a great overnighter to the Riverboat Postman – but with a difference. We cruise the 7 islands of the Lower Hawkesbury and see the wreck of the HMAS Parramatta – Australia’s first warship. We stay at the Gosford RSL visiting the Central Coasts fine chocolates and distillery.
Next is Melbourne Flower Festival and Garden Tour in March. Pick up a brochure and see all the fantastic inclusions. In April we are off to Corryong and the Man from Snowy River Festival. Throw in a silo tour around Benalla, a luncheon cruise on Lake Mulwala, wine tasting in Rutherglen and the last night stop a the Springs Resort, Mittagong before heading home – what a great tour. In May we are off to Queensland and the Outback Spirit train to Longreach. Too many inclusions to mention but we only have a couple of spots left – contact us now. June is Norfolk Island at its best for Bounty Day. This tour is also nearly full so put your name down now. We also have Vivid Lights including the show Hamilton. July we have Cape York and again it is also nearly full so don’t hesitate. Yes, it is expensive but now is the time to cross it off your bucket list. We are re-vamping our Christmas in July Mystery Tour and will have the brochures out next week. August we will be taking a bit of a breather and rugging up for winter before we head to Sydney for our re-scheduled Iconic Southern Sydney Tour.
October we visit Canberra Floriade including a visit to the Bowral tulips, the War Memorial and New Parliament House. This is also filling fast so hop on board. We will fill other dates as the year progresses – especially with our day tours so stay in touch with us direct or your booking agent.
Well that’s all folks!! Take care and we look forward to your company on one of our buses.
In case we don’t get the chance ……have a Merry Christmas and fingers crossed 2021 will be a better year!!
